Description
Lunar: Dragon Song was developed by Japan Art Media and released for the Nintendo DS in 2005. Taking place a thousand years before the events of the first Lunar game, Lunar: Dragon Song follows the adventures of a young courier named Jian and his friend, Lucia. This turn based RPG focuses on dungeon exploration as well as combat, but there are towns players can visit as well as non-combat missions that can be completed for money. Dragon Song also features two game modes, Combat Mode and Virtue Mode, that the player can switch between in order to gain different rewards from battles. In Combat Mode players will receive items that can be sold or used in quests and Monster Cards that can grant the party a number of beneficial effects when used. Virtue Mode allows players to gain experience from battle so their heroes can level up and become stronger. In addition to giving the party experience, clearing an area of monsters in Virtue Mode sometimes unlocks a special blue chest that will give the player a bonus item. Lunar: Dragon Song is roughly twenty five hours long.
