It only took ten years, but we now have a section for the MSX and MSX2 in the game catalog! I’ll work on MSX games for the next few months and hopefully add a section for this family of home computers to the Save Archive. If there is something you want to see added, let me know here or in the game suggestions post stickied to the top of this page.
The first game to appear on this site will be a Japan exclusive called AshGuine. I’ve written a guide for it (hopefully I’ll get it posted soon after writing this) and am working on a review. Stuff for the more famous MSX titles, like Metal Gear and Snatcher, is planned, but I want to cover those games when I have more free time.
Thank you for your support!

Starting the MSX section with AshGuine should give it a useful identity beyond the usual Metal Gear and Snatcher coverage. For a Japan-exclusive walkthrough, screenshots of the relevant menu choices paired with the exact checkpoint names would help readers follow the route without turning every page into a full translation. A short hardware note distinguishing MSX from MSX2 requirements at the top of each entry would also make the new catalog easier to use.
Absolutely. Ashguine was quite an interesting game and I plan to cover the others. All the old standbys are on the itinerary as well. I believe I have hardware notes listed with the games, I’ll have to double check though.
