Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine takes place in 1947, a few years after the end of World War II and the events of the famous Indiana Jones films. In this adventure, Jones finds himself racing a group of Soviet archeologists who are in search of an ancient Babylonian machine that could potentially give the Russians a military advantage against the US. Players control Indy as he travels the world in search of clues and lost Babylonian artifacts. Over the course of his adventure, Jones will visit Colorado, China, and the Philippines to name a few of the locations in this title.
Much of the action is focused on exploration and puzzle solving, but players will also have to fend off threats from man and beast alike. Foes in Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine range from wolves to ancient rock monsters. Fortunately, Indy has his trusty revolver to protect himself and can pick up other weapons that include a variety of guns as well as melee weapons. Players can use Jones’ whip to latch onto certain objects allowing him to swing or climb up to difficult to reach areas. This title features seventeen stages and a save function.
