Description
Grand Theft Auto 2 (also known as GTA2) is a crime themed action game set in Anywhere City, a fictional town in the USA. The goal of the game is to score points by causing chaos. This can be accomplished by attacking civilians, stealing cars, and completing simple missions for criminal organizations. Reaching a predetermined score goal will allow the player to move onto the next stage of the game.
As its name implies, Grand Theft Auto 2 largely revolves around stealing vehicles, which can be used to complete various missions or cause general chaos. Players can also customize their stolen ride in a number of ways by visiting a garage and paying a set fee for upgrades like bombs or a new paint job that will allow the player to shake the police. Various guns like the Pistol and Machine Gun can also be found in Anywhere City.
Committing crimes will alert the attention of the police, who will pursue and actively attempt to arrest the player. The police response scales in accordance with the crime, with just a few cop cars responding to a single wanted star all the way to a military response at six stars. Players can save their game by visiting a church and paying some money.
