The party has defeated Vargas and left Mt. Kolts for the Returner Base. Everyone is Level 9 to 11 and the party has 5,000 GP. Most of their gear is very basic and I left the treasures in Figaro Cave alone, but I did collect the Guardian and Atlas Armlet.

Start near Figaro Castle after the battle of Narshe where the party has to defend the Esper from Kefka. The party is roughly Level 11-13 and has about 28k GP. A lot of the special treasure chests that change if left unopened have been left alone. Gau has learned most of the available Rages and there’s a good stock of equipment, like the Genji Glove, for the party.

Begin outside of Narshe after clearing the Magitek factory in Vector. Everyone in the party is Level 16-19. There are a lot of weapons and items on this file including the Break Blade, Genji Glove, and Zephyr Cape. The party has 33k GP to spend. Head into Narshe to the north to continue the story.

The party is ready for the Floating Continent, which can be reached by using the controls on the airship. Everyone is roughly Level 25. Mog has been recruited and Gau has learned most of the Rages up to this point. Most of the spells have been learned by all of the party members, except Shadow, and all of the World of Balance Magicite has been collected. There is plenty of equipment to use on this file as well as 38k GP to spend.

This file was made in the World of Ruin after finding Sabin, Edgar, and Setzer. Look for Darill’s Tomb west of Kohlingen to continue the story. There’s only 2k GP on this file, but the party has plenty of supplies.

Terra has rejoined the party in the World of Ruin along with Shadow, Relm, Strago, Edgar, Gau, and Mog. The party is roughly Level 28 to 32. Doom Gaze has been defeated. The party has about 79k GP.

Cyan has just been retrieved from Mt. Zozo on this file along with everyone except Locke, who is waiting in the Phoenix Cave. Umaro and Gogo have also been recruited. The party has a lot of powerful gear like the Aegis Shield, Force Armor, Tiger Fangs, and much more. There is also 150k GP to spend. Most characters have learned the majority of the spells and I’ve tried to make sure they got Esper bonuses every time they leveled up.
Note: I tried to avoid combat as much as much as possible in order to keep everyone’s levels low. Many of the dungeon and overworld monsters were not encountered on this file, so it’s a good idea to explore if you want to teach Gau more Rages. You’ll also want to backtrack to Narshe and Umaro’s cave to collect treasures as well as fight the monsters in the Zone Eater’s Belly.

Begin outside of Figaro Castle after exploring the Ancient Castle. Most party members are about level 50. There are plenty of powerful items in the inventory, including Flame and Ice Shields that were farmed in the Colosseum. The party also has Snow Mufflers, Force Armor, the Graedus, the Scimitar, and the Offering. Most of the dungeons have been completed, but players will still need to do the Tower of Fanatics, Cyan’s Dream, Ebot Rock, and the Opera House. It will also be necessary to revisit the Ancient Castle to turn Odin into Raiden.

Last save. Most of the content has been completed on this file, though Kefka’s Tower has not been visited. Story scenes, like Duncan’s House and Gau’s father, have not been been triggered and most of the party is around Level 50. There’s still a few odds and ends to do in terms of collecting items from the Colosseum and learning Dances/Rages. Players will also want to revisit the Zone Eater’s Belly to fill out the enemy roster for the Veldt and turn Odin into Raiden after teaching everyone Meteor.
Note: 6 of the 8 dragons were defeated, the final 2 are in Kefka’s Tower.
