Zool, an alien ninja, crash lands on a strange world and must find his way home in Zool: Ninja of the Nth Dimension. Players will have to explore five worlds split into smaller stages to complete the game. The goal of each stage is to collect 99 items to unlock a special coin that allows Zool to proceed. A boss defends the final stage of each world. Worlds in Zool have their own themes that range from candy land to a giant music shop and the items players must collect are based on the world theme.
Zool can run, jump, and climb up walls. He can also shoot distant enemies and will find a number of powerups hidden in each level. Powerups include shields that make the player invincible and a clone of Zool that follows the player around. Extra lives and hearts that increase Zool’s health meter can also be acquired. Players will have to activate switches, jump from platform to platform, and explore thoroughly to complete the game.
