Description
Star Wars Battlefront II is a first person shooter (players can switch to third person as well) made by EA Dice for the Sony PlayStation 4 and other major platforms. As a reboot of the PS2 series, this game allows players to engage in objective based combat using characters based on the Star Wars usually in areas from the films. Single player mode is story based and follows the exploits of Inferno Squad, an elite unit of imperial troopers commanded by Iden Versio. Multiplayer requires internet access and allows players to choose from several modes including Galactic Assault, Starfighter Assault, and Heroes vs. Villains to name a few.
Players also get to control a variety of trooper classes, vehicles, and even heroes like Han Solo and Rey in multiplayer. Many of Star Wars Battlefront II’s game modes allow players to customize their characters using items called Equip Cards that grant them access to a number of abilities. Potential players should be aware that EA originally implemented a microtransaction system into this title that made it possible to purchase loot crates that awarded random Equip Cards and other powerups in exchange for real money. Currently this feature is disabled and players can use credits earned from playing the game to buy loot crates. This game saves progress and connects to EA’s servers automatically.
