Final Fantasy II, also known as Final Fantasy IV, is the fourth entry into the series and the first game in the franchise to appear on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Unlike its predecessors, Final Fantasy II uses the Active Battle System, which allows combat to take place in semi-real time rather than the more traditional turn based system used in previous titles. This title focuses on the adventures of Cecil the Dark Knight and his friends Kain and Rosa, who set out on a journey to protect the world’s sacred crystals from the evil kingdom of Baron. Throughout the course of the game, players will face random battles, bosses, and find plenty of places to explore. Final Fantasy II also features a wide variety of weapons, spells, and armor to collect throughout the journey. Players can resume their game using a built in save feature.
