Description
Battlezone is an early First Person Shooter that places players in control of a tank that can move freely around the game world. According to the game manual, in the year 1999 the leaders of the world declared peace and began to disarm their militaries. Unfortunately a cabal of deranged generals has mobilized an army of autonomous tanks, airplanes, and flying saucers in opposition to the peace treaty. It is up to the player to pilot a tank found in a museum and face off against this mechanized army. Players will have to fire their cannon at enemies on the field and use their radar to locate threats while dodging bullets. The object of this title is to stay alive as long as possible to accrue points by defeating enemies. Extra lives are awarded at set intervals as the player’s score increases.
