A few days ago, the comments section was shut down due to a sophisticated spam attack that was designed to advertise and boost a website unaffiliated with this one. Sadly, this has been a common occurrence over the years despite the fact that we have several layers of countermeasures designed to intercept bots and solicitors.
It appears that the attack has ended, so comments are open again. Closure of the comments section will not be announced in the future. Users who wish to communicate with contributors to this site or me are welcome to send an email (the link to which can be found in the about section) if they find comments locked.
