Description

Pilotwings was released for the SNES in 1991 by Nintendo and is known for its use of Mode 7 to create pseudo-3D environments. Players can skydive, hang glide, fly a biplane, and zoom around with the rocket belt. The object of the game is to complete a number of challenges in order to earn a pilot’s license. These events can range from simply landing and aircraft to flying through a series of rings in high winds. A password is given to the player at the end of each stage that allows him or her to resume their game where they left off.
