Description
Shrek SuperSlam is a fighting game in which one to four players compete across a variety of game modes. Characters from the movies feature heavily in the action as they battle each other in a number of comical of arenas. Players can control Puss ‘n Boots, Donkey, Prince Charming, Shrek, and many others. Each character has a unique move set and special Slam attack. Like in every fighting game, players can string together attacks to overwhelm opponents. Objects in the arena can be used to inflict extra damage of picked up and thrown or swung. Attacks can be blocked if the player moves away from his or her opponent.
Hitting opponents builds up the Slam Meter in most game modes. Once the meter is full, players can unleash a super powerful attack whose range and effectiveness vary from character to character.
Shrek Super Slam includes a story mode where players battle opponents with a preset character as well as a multi-player mode. Three are three main battle modes: melee, king of the hill, and Slamageddon. In melee mode, the player must battle a computer or human controlled opponent and collect Slam points by scoring hits. A timer counts down during melee mode, when it hits zero a winner is decided based who has the highest score. King of the hill requires players to hold the top of a hill while opponents try to to knock them off. Players gain points while on top of the hill. The first combatant to reach thirty points wins.
Slamageddon is similar to melee mode, but every attack is a Slam attack.
Players unlock new characters, medals, and game modes as they progress through the story. Completed story mode chapters can be replayed and players can save their progress between battles.
