Description
Twin Cobra: Desert Attack Helicopter is a home port of the arcade title of the same name. Players control a helicopter in several vertically scrolling stages. The goal is to survive an onslaught of enemy aircraft, tanks, and cannons as the heli flies towards the boss at the end of every stage. Defeat the boss to move onto the next stage. Players are given several lives as well as a limited number of continues. Earning set amounts of points will award the player with an extra life. Players can also change the number of lives they start with as well as other options in the configuration screen.
The helicopter uses a basic shot at first, but players can find spread shots and lasers by destroying certain enemies and collecting the power ups they drop. Each weapon type is indicated by the color of the power up, with red being standard, blue being spread, and yellow being the laser. Players will also find power ups that improve their current weapon as well as those that award points. Last, but not least, players can drop super bombs that are capable of clearing enemies from large sections of the screen.
