Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest (Super Nintendo) Cheats
About these Cheats
The 50 Lives and Remove DK Barrels cheats can be active at the same time if both are entered. They should also take effect for new games as well as saves. Please note that it is necessary to activate Cheat Mode and have it highlighted before entering any codes aside from the Music Test. These cheats were tested on the North American version of DKC2 and may not be compatible with all versions of the game.
Activate Music Test and Cheat Mode
Choose an empty save spot on the Select Game Menu, then highlight Two Player Contest and press Down 5 times. If done quickly enough, this will make the Music Test menu appear.
To enable a secret Cheat Mode, highlight the Music Test and press Down rapidly another 5 times.
Start with 50 Lives
To start with 50 extra lives, enter this code after activating Cheat Mode:
Y, A, Select, A, Down, Left, A, then Down
You will hear Diddy Kong laugh if you enter the code properly.
Remove DK Barrels
To make the game harder by removing ALL of the DK Barrels enter the following after activating Cheat Mode:
B, A, Right, Right, A, Left, A, then X
Diddy Kong will laugh if the code has been entered correctly.
