Description
The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening DX is a color enhanced GBC version of Link’s Awakening for Game Boy. Link finds himself shipwrecked on a mysterious island called Koholint. After being rescued by the inhabitants of the island, Link learns that he must wake the Wind Fish if he hopes to find a way home. To accomplish his task, Link must locate the eight Instruments of the Sirens and play them in front of the Wind Fish’s egg.
Each of the eight dungeons is hidden on the island. After finding and unlocking a dungeon, Link must solve its many puzzles, then defeat the Nightmare that guards the instrument. Each dungeon has a special item Link can use to uncover more of the island’s secrets or battle the monsters who inhabit it. Familiar weapons like bombs and the sword appear in this game. Players will also find new items such as the Rock’s Feather which gives Link the ability to jump.
As an enhanced edition of the classic Link’s Awakening, this version has a few new features. These include color, Super Game Boy Enhancement, and a new dungeon. Players can save and exit the game at any time while inside a building.
