Description
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game is an NES port of the arcade Beat ‘em UP of the same name. Players can control any of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as they battle the Foot Clan in hopes of rescuing April O’Neil and Splinter. The game is broken up into seven stages that are populated by Foot Soldiers, Mousers, and many other familiar creatures from the animated series along with a few original creations. A boss (who is usually a major bad guy from the series, like Rock Steady or Shredder) waits at the end of each area.
Each of the turtles can use their regular weapons to defend themselves along with power attacks and jump kicks. They will need them, because there are plenty of foes to battle in this game. Defeating Shredder’s minions will award the Turtles with valuable points that count towards extra lives. TMNTII allows for single player action or two player co-op.
