Mega Man IV Passwords (Game Boy)
Instructions
Select the Password option on the title screen then enter one of the passwords below. This game uses a coordinate system (as shown in the screenshots) that come with each password. The first letter in each coordinate represents one of the columns on the password entry grid, while the number is associated with a row. The third character in the coordinates can be E, R, or B and must be entered by pressing the A Button. To change characters, press B. You can overwrite mistakes by selecting the blank space or a different character and entering it by hitting the A Button. Press Start to begin the game when you are finished.
1. First Four Robot Masters Defeated

The first four Robot Masters have been defeated in this password. Start with 5 lives, 3 E-Tanks, the letters B,E, and A. Mega Man also has 164 P-Chips.
2. Dr. Wily’s Tank Defeated

Start on the second set of Robot Masters with the letters B,E, and A. Mega Man will have 3 Energy Tanks and 164 P-Chips.
3. Second Set of Robot Masters, Crystal and Napalm Man Defeated

Begin in the second set of bosses, with Crystal and Napalm Man already defeated. Mega Man will have six lives and 266 Chips. He will also have the letters B, E, A, and I.
4. Dr. Wily’s Castle

This password includes 3 E-Tanks and 4 lives for Mega Man. It’s worth noting that you cannot actually enter Wily’s Castle with this code until you collect the rest of the letters, which can be found in the Robot Master stages.
