Description

Toxic Crusaders is based on the cartoon of the same name, which in turn was based on the Troma film. Players control Toxie as he battles the minions of Dr. Killemoff who has kidnapped Yvonne. Toxie must punch his way through six beat ‘em up style stages and defeat the boss at the end of each one. Toxie starts each stage with his trusty mop that deals extra damage to bad guys, but will lose it when he gets hit, which will force him to rely on his fists. He will also take damage if he is hit by enemies or steps in toxic waste. Hazards like rolling barrels must be dealt with by avoiding or smashing them. Taking too many hits will cost Toxie a life and players will be sent back to the start of the stage. Toxic waste cans can be broken to reveal hamburgers that heal Toxie as well as replacement mops. Collecting more mops will upgrade the mop so it can fire projectiles or be thrown like a boomerang.
