Description
The Magic of Scheherazade takes place in ancient Arabia, which has come under the control of an evil wizard called Sabaron. Players control a magician who challenges Sabaron only to be defeated and sent backwards in time. Luckily, the spirit of time, Coronya, helps the hero out and joins him in his quest.
This Action RPG features a world that is split into five chapters where players must explore a number of top-down environments. These areas include towns, the wilderness, and various dungeons. Monsters dwell in many of these places, but players can obtain a number of weapons and spells to help the hero defend himself.
Players can also choose between the Fighter, Saint, and Magician classes. The Fighter gets a bigger sword, while the Saint can pass over dangerous terrain unharmed, and the Magician can use a more powerful wand. It is also possible to change classes during the game.
While many battles take place in real time, the hero will sometimes be attacked by special groups of enemies that must be defeated in turn-based combat. These monsters tend to be stronger than those that can be fought in real time, but Coronya and other allies that can be recruited along the way will help the hero in these battles.
The Magic of Scheherazade features five chapters that can be resumed using a built in password system.
