Description
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a direct sequel to WInd Waker that continues Link’s adventures on the high seas. The game starts with Link and Tetra traveling the Great Sea on Tetra’s pirate ship. It is not long before the pirates encounter a ghost ship and Tetra becomes trapped while exploring it. Link tries to save Tetra, only to become lost at sea. He recovers on a small island where he must find some means of saving his friend.
As in any Legend of Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass features a combination of puzzle solving, exploration, and combat. Link will have to fight enemies with his sword and other weapons he finds along the way using the Nintendo DS touch screen functionality. Bombs, the Boomerang and many other familiar items make their appearance in this game. Link will also acquire a ship that is capable of navigating the Great Sea. This ship can be upgraded in many ways and includes a cannon that can be used to destroy monsters.
Link’s goal is to assemble pieces of the Sea King’s map so he can solve the mystery of the ghost ship and free Tetra. This will require him to sail to many islands and solve the riddles contained in a number of dungeons. Players can continue their game at any time using the save feature.
