Description
Street Fighter Alpha 2 is the second prequel to the Street Fighter series. Players can choose from eighteen characters which include Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Akuma, Rolento, Dhalsim, Bison, Guy, and more. Each fighter has his or her own back story and fighting style. While there is no overarching story included in the game or instruction manual, the plot seemingly picks up where the first Street Fighter Alpha left off. Consequently, characters like Ryu and Ken are still students in the Shotokan school, while other characters are near their respective origins as well.
As with most fighting games, players can execute special fireball attacks like the famous Hadouken, by pressing certain button combinations. Street Fighter Alpha 2 also allows players to perform combo attacks for extra damage by chaining moves together. Players can battle the computer in Arcade Mode or fight a friend in Vs. Mode.
