Description
Oni follows the exploits of a special agent named Konoko, who works for a global government organization called the Technological Crimes Task Force (TCTF). In 2032, the world has become nearly unlivable and humanity’s survival balances on a razor’s edge. The World Coalition Government manages all of Earth’s remaining resources and controls crime through the TCTF. As an agent of the TCTF, Konoko’s mission is to apprehend members of a criminal group known as the Syndicate, but she will learn that things may not be as they seem as the story advances.
Action is the main focus of this game, with an emphasis on hand-to-hand combat. Konoko can punch, kick, and throw enemies as well as perform a number of acrobatic moves. Players can even attempt to sneak up on bad guys to get the first shot in. The main character will also find guns like the pistol and plasma rifle that will allow her to fight at range, though ammo for such weapons is finite. Konoko has limited health that can be restored with Hypo Sprays. Much of Oni’s gameplay revolves around completing mission goals and exploring.
