Description
NFL Street is an American football game that uses “street football” rules rather than the formal NFL rules that appear in most football video games. Players do not wear helmets nor much of the protective gear worn in professional football and teams are limited to seven players. Penalties are also reduced, especially for those involving roughness, and there are no fouls. EA also added some special mechanics to the game, like Style Points, which can be earned through pulling off difficult plays or by taunting the other team. If a player earns enough Style Points, he will go into Game Breaker mode. Game Breaker gives the player an offensive or defensive advantage over his opponents, allowing him to smash through defenders if in possession of the ball or more easily block the other team if they have the ball.
While based on street rules football, NFL Street features pro teams and players from the early 2000s including the Eagles, Packers, Cowboys, Broncos, and many more. Additionally, players can unlock special All-Star and X-ecutioner teams as well as extra fields. There are also a variety of game modes to choose from. These include Quick Play where the player chooses a team and faces off against a friend or the computer and NFL Challenge where players build their team from the ground up and have them play full seasons.
