These save files are for the US release of New Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo DS and may not work with other versions of the game. Many of the stages and secrets have not been unlocked in these files, so there is still plenty to do if you are trying to replace a lost save or just want to skip certain areas.
Save 1 – Start on World 3 with 24 Star Coins, 14 Lives, and the Mega Mushroom power up.
Save 2 – World 6, 28 Star Coins and 18 extra lives. Mega Mushroom in storage.
Save 3 – Worlds 4 and 7 unlocked. 39 Star Coins, 12 Lives, Mega Mushroom power up.
Save 4 – Worlds 4 and 7 unlocked. All worlds aside from 6 and 8 have been cleared. Mario has 50 Star Coins and 33 Lives.
