Description

Metroid Fusion is an action adventure game based in the Metroid universe. After the events of Super Metroid, Samus Aran crashes her ship due to being infected by the mysterious X Parasite. Having barely survived the crash, Samus is in a coma while the virus slowly takes over her power suit and body. Desperate for a cure, scientists create a vaccine based on the X Parasite’s only known predator: Metroid. The vaccine manages to repel the parasite, but Samus’s suit is transformed by it, causing her to lose all of her powers. Samus soon finds herself facing off against the X Parasite again as she answers a distress call from a research station near SR388…

Metroid Fusion focuses on platforming and exploration much like other games in the series. Players will need to collect special powers like the high jump and missiles to open new paths through the space station as they battle the X Parasite. The X Parasite has a few tricks of its own and can mimic all sorts of deadly creatures. Luckily, Samus can absorb new powers from the parasite thanks to the Metroid Vaccine.
