Description

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence is a remaster of MGS3: Snake Eater which features plenty of bonus content and items including online multiplayer. While the servers for multiplayer have been shut down, players can still unlock the vast majority of extra uniforms and special items. In Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence players assume the role of Snake, a US soldier and member of a special forces unit called Fox. Snake is tasked with infiltrating a jungle under Soviet control and rescuing a scientist who defected to the United States, but was repatriated to Russia as part of a diplomatic bargain. Things quickly take a turn for the worse as unexpected events occur and Snake learns that the Soviet army is developing a deadly new weapon.

Like its predecessors, sneaking past enemies and silently infiltrating enemy territory is a huge part of MGS3. However, new survival mechanics have been added to the game. Snake must eat and will need to gather food from the forest to survive. Camouflage plays a major role in stealth and Snake will have to blend into his surroundings if he hopes to remain unseen. Many of the weapons and tools from previous games make a return in this title. Players will have access to various handguns, automatic rifles, grenades, and nonlethal tools like Night vision Goggles.
