Description
Mega Man 1: The New Lands is a ROM Hack of the original Mega Man on NES. Mega Man must battle six Robot Masters and conquer Wily’s Fortress just as in the original game. Players will recognize many of the gameplay elements from the rest of the series in this ROM Hack. These include deadly pits and spikes as well as the ability to challenge the bosses in any order. Each stage has its own setting based on the Robot Master that inhabits it. This ROM Hack features entirely new bosses, stages, weapons, and enemies.
Defeat the boss at the end of any of the first six stages to receive a new weapon that can be used on another boss or against regular enemies. Each boss is a reimagined version of the first six Robot Masters in the series. These include the stone throwing Caveman, Huntman with his boomerang scissors, and the explosive Dynaman. Unlike many of the later games in the series Mega Man 1: The New Lands does not feature a password system.
