Description
Life Force is an arcade style space shoot ’em up that takes place two years after the events of Gradius. A new foe, known simply as the “Life Force” has appeared near the planet Gradius. Life Force is growing uncontrollably and threatens to consume the planet. Players will once again assume control of the Vic Viper space fighter and take the fight to the enemy.
In Life Force players control a spaceship that must blast its way through six stages. Hundreds of small enemies and a boss stand between the player and the end of each stage. Even the stages themselves present obstacles in the form of organic walls that block the player’s path and asteroid fields.
Players can obtain power ups for the Vic Viper by collecting upgrades dropped by enemies. These upgrades can be spent at any time during gameplay to unlock missiles, increase the ship’s speed, upgrade its guns, and even surround the player in a defensive forcefield.
This game features both a single player mode and two player, simultaneous co-op.
