Description

God of War: Ghost of Sparta takes place between the events of the first and second games in the series. Kratos is once again dragged into the intrigues of the Greek gods when his armada is attacked by Scylla and brought to Atlantis where he learns of a secret from his past.

Ghost of Sparta features hack ‘n slash action similar to the other titles in the series. Players control Kratos and his signature blades as he travels around Ancient Greece slaying gorgons, minotaurs, and many other mythological creatures. Kratos also gains access to a variety of spells like the Eye of Atlantis, which unleashes a powerful bolt of lightning.

Players will have to solve a few simple puzzles as they explore, but the game’s primary focus is combat. Enemies can often be finished off in cinematic Quick Time Events where players are prompted to press buttons at certain points. If the player fails, the enemy will counter attack, but Kratos will finish off the monster if the player successfully completes the Quick Time Event.

Kratos’s weapons and spells can be powered up using Red Orbs collected from enemies and treasure chests. Weapons and spells deal extra damage and gain new moves when upgraded. Kratos can also collect Gorgon Eyes and Phoenix Feathers to increase his maximum health and magic, respectively. God of War: Ghost of Sparta supports saves on the PSP Memory Stick.
