Description
Doki! Doki! Yuuenchi or Thump! Thump! Amusement Park is a platformer that was only released in Japan for the Famicom (NES), that was eventually translated into English by No Talent. The player controls a young hero who must rescue his girlfriend from an evil theme park. The protagonist can jump, run, crouch, and attack monsters using a kick ball. While this title is a fairly standard 8-bit platformer, it varies from the standard formula, because the hero becomes more powerful as he suffers damage. With each hit he takes, the protagonist will kick larger or more balls at his foes, but watch out: three hits and your hero is out for the count. Players can pick up stopwatches that temporarily freeze bad guys, extra lives, health restoring hearts, and a bird that attacks enemies. There are also several bosses to fight and auto-scrolling roller coaster stages waiting for those who challenge this game. Players can also pick up where they left off with a password.
