Description
Darkwatch is a first person shooter that follows the adventures of an outlaw turned vampire named Jericho Cross as he hunts the evil Lazarus across the wild west. Cross, who was transformed into a vampire after unwittingly releasing Lazarus during a train robbery, develops his vampiric powers as he fights the undead hordes of his new foe. He also has access to a number of vampire hunting weapons like crossbows that shoot exploding bolts and high powered revolvers.
Players will gain new powers as they choose to free or feed upon Lazarus’s victims. What powers are unlocked depend upon Cross’s choices. Choose to free or heal victims and Cross will learn powers like Mystic Armor, which protects him from damage for a while. Feed on victims and Cross will learn evil powers like the life sucking Soul Stealer.
In addition to normal FPS missions, players will also get to ride Cross’s undead horse and use a chain gun equipped vehicle called a Steam Wagon. Cross can also hop into gatling gun turrets scattered around the game and mow enemies down with streams of bullets. Those looking for multiplayer action participate in local co-op or vs. matches.
