Description
Coast Guard Veteran, Tom Hansen, responds to a distress call from a Russian whaling ship only to learn that the vessel’s crew has turned into murderous zombies. Tom must search the ship for survivors and get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the fate of its crew. Cold Fear is a third person survival horror game that focuses heavily on gunplay and close quarters combat.
Tom starts equipped with a basic pistol, but there are several other weapons that include an AK 47 and a speargun that emits a scent that lures enemies towards it. He will have to use his tools wisely to defend himself from the creatures on board the ship and conserve his ammo. Players will also have to watch out for hazards such as waves that wash over the ship’s deck as well as flooded compartments.
Ammunition and medkits can be found scattered around the game. Players can also grapple with enemies and even perform a critical hit if they manage to break free. Cold Fear is about 20 hours long, has several difficulty settings, and allows players to save their game at certain points.
