Description
Blood Omen 2: The Legacy of Kain sees the return of the anti-hero Kain in a 3D adventure. Set four centuries after the events of the original Blood Omen, the story revisits Kain who has been asleep for two-hundred years. Having built a vampiric army, Kain nearly conquered the land of Nosgoth, but was defeated at the hands of a mighty Sarafan warrior. Now Kain must restore his lost power and defeat the Sarafan to get his revenge once more.
Players control Kain who must survive in the dangerous city of Meridian and grow strong enough to defeat his nemesis, the Sarafan Lord. Kain can use a wide assortment of powers to overcome obstacles and slay his foes. To start, Kain can turn into mist and move stealthily. He can also float and double jump to get over obstacles. Over time, Kain will gain new powers. Players can pick up weapons dropped by enemies or found scattered around the city and use them, but they will eventually break.
As a vampire, Kain needs a steady supply of blood to survive. With every passing second, Kain’s blood supply will decrease and he will be that much closer to permanent death. Luckily Meridian is full of unsuspecting victims for Kain to feast upon. Chests scattered around the game will increase Kain’s blood gauge, giving him more time to between feedings. Kain takes damage from weapons and will find water lethal. Once Kain’s blood supply runs out, it’s Game Over.
