Description

In Beast Wrestler, players put their monster to the test in one-on-one matches against other gruesome creatures. The game consists of two modes: Match and Tournament. In Match Mode, players participate in a single battle against the computer or another human. Tournament Mode is single player only and allows the player to face increasingly powerful opponents as they battle for the World Championship.

Tournament Mode features a shop where players can buy items to enhance the speed, power, and health of the monster. These items can be used between bouts during the training phase. Players can also combine their monster with another one using a special item found in the shop to create a new creature with new abilities. Tournament Mode can be continued using a password.

Combat in Beast Wrestler takes place in an isometric ring. Electrified boundaries damage combatants who wander to close or are thrown into to the ropes. Fighting consists of basic punches and kicks/tail swipes, but some creatures have special moves. Each monster has its own stats, though the player’s monster can be enhanced through training and gene splicing in Tournament Mode.
