Description
Batman: Return of the Joker places players in control of the Caped Crusader who must seek out and destroy a stash of bomb materials that the Joker has hidden. Use Batman’s “Wrist Projector” to fire various types of ammunition at enemies. Batman can upgrade his weapon by picking up special icons dropped by fallen enemies. These upgrades range from the classic Batarang to exploding crossbow bolts. Players will also get to explore a number of different locations that include Gotham City and a snowy mountain base. Many of the stages are guarded by bosses like the Master CPU and the Joker himself.
As a side scroller Batman: Return of the Joker requires players to leap over chasms, jump onto platforms, and traverse other dangerous terrain. Batman starts with three lives and will perish if he falls into a hole or if his life meter is completely depleted. Luckily, players get infinite continues and can attempt stages as many times as they wish. This game also uses a password system that players can use to pick up from the beginning of each stage.
