Description
Earthworm Jim is a sci-fi/comedy themed platformer for the Sega Genesis that features a power suit wearing worm as its protagonist. Jim, a regular worm, is suddenly mutated into a giant after an alien super suit crashes on top of him. Now, Jim must rescue Princess What’s-Her-Name from the evil Queen Slug-For-A-Butt using his new found powers. It won’t be easy thanks to villains like Psy-Crow, who want Jim’s suit for themselves. Players will have to navigate through a series of levels that range from mucous covered snot planets to giant junkyards and even hell itself.
Jim has a number of tools that allow him to deal with threats, including a rapid fire zapper, plasma gun, and the ability to use his body like a whip. Players will have to run, jump, and swing their way through stages that often feature a boss at the end. On the way, they will find extra suit energy, bonus lives, and plasma rounds, which will prove helpful during the adventure. Jim will also have to solve puzzles and can pilot vehicles that include the Pocket Rocket and a submarine. This game features limited lives and continues, which means it’s Game Over if you run out of both.
