Description
Alien 3 is a platformer based on the 1992 film of the same name. Ripley crash lands on a penal colony planet known as “Fury” after a catastrophic failure cripples the space marine ship that had been transporting her, Newt, Hicks, and Bishop to safety. Only Ripley survives the crash landing. Despite reaching relative safety on Fury, Ripley soon learns that the colony has come under attack from a xenomorph. Now she must once again prepare to do battle with her old foe.
This title is split into six stages, each with its own set of objectives. Players will have to perform a number of tasks like rescuing prisoners or repairing broken pipes to complete each stage. Xenomorphs of all types that range from facehuggers to warriors will attack Ripley as she explores the colony. These creatures can harm her by spitting acid or simply bumping into her. However, Ripley is not defenseless and has access to several weapons. Her main weapon is the machine gun-like pulse rifle, which fires rapidly and features a grenade launcher. Ripley also starts with a powerful flamethrower that can be used to incinerate aliens or even repair certain structures.
Ripley has limited health and will die after taking too many hits. Ammo for weapons is also finite. Luckily, players can find health packs, flamethrower fuel, and ammo for the pulse rifle scattered all over Fury. Players can also continue their game using a password system.
