Dungeon Siege III is an Action RPG that takes place in the Kingdom of Ehb, several hundred years after the events of the first game. The 10th Legion, stalwart defenders of Ehb, were been blamed for the assassination of the king and all but wiped out by Jayne Kassynder (the King’s vengeful adopted daughter) thirty years prior to the start of the game. Players control one of four descendants of the legion who have set out to solve the mystery of the king’s death and clear the name of the legion.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Combat takes place in real time, so players must block and dodge enemies as well as make their own attacks to stay alive. Each hero has a selection of special abilities that deal extra damage and heal allies. These abilities require focus to use, which can be built up by getting standard attacks to connect. Players will also be asked to complete story quests by important NPCs and can find side quests by exploring. In addition to the character chosen at the start of the game, three other heroes that act as AI controlled companions join the player as the adventure progresses. An online multiplayer mode allows players to team up with others, though this function is likely no longer available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
