Description<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the Abyss places players in the role of a young hero who has set out to defend the Kingdom of Rubenhaut from monsters that are pouring out of an ancient gate. Legends say a great evil was sealed behind the gate long ago and the kingdom was created to watch over it. It is your duty to venture into the abyss and destroy the evil lurking within.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players can create their own character by choosing a gender and sprite upon starting the game. Answering a simple set of questions will determine your hero’s starting stats. After generating a character, players are taken to Rubenhaut where they are given money and instructions by the queen. The town is navigated via a touch screen menu. In town, players can purchase equipment, talk to NPCs, store items, and save their game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selecting the gate allows the player to visit the Abyss where they must fight monsters in real time. The Abyss is split into eight areas which are in turn divided into four stages each. The first three stages of every area are mazes where the player must battle or avoid enemies while searching for the exit. The final stage of each area features a boss monster who will drop a powerful item and open the way to the next area upon defeat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players can wield a number of weapons that include swords, axes, spears, bows, and magic rods. Every weapon has a variety of special skills associated with it as well as its own combat style. Players can also find or buy armor and magical rings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The queen gives the hero a spell that allows him or her to capture the power of monsters at the start of the adventure. Using the spell on a monster and rapidly tapping the button it is assigned to will award the player with a new skill. These skills range from special weapon attacks to magical spells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the Abyss can be played by a single player or with two player co-op.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
