Dementium: The Ward is a 3D first person Survival Horror game for the Nintendo DS. Players control an unnamed protagonist who awakens in a hospital after a terrible nightmare. Alone, he must find his way out of the hospital and solve the mysteries surrounding of his past. Horrific monsters stalk the hero as he explores the hospital and a mysterious girl haunts the hallways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This title is fully 3D and allows players to move, look around, and fire weapons using the D-Pad and the touchscreen. Over the course of the adventure players will fight monsters and solve puzzles to progress. Bosses await the hero in certain areas. These foes have higher attack power and vastly more health than normal monsters. The hospital itself is a huge maze that is broken into chapters. Maps, which help guide the player through the labyrinth, can be found for nearly every floor of the hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weapons like the handgun and machine gun aid the player in defeating monsters, but these come with limited ammo that must be replenished by finding pickups scattered around the game. The hero also has a health bar that will decrease as he takes damage from monsters. His health can be refilled with medicine bottles found in the hospital. The game saves automatically every time the player passes through a door. However, players will have to restart the chapter they were on after dying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
