The PDP-10 Time Sharing World Series is an example of an early video game. It is a text simulation of the baseball World Series, where the Dodgers and Yankees play against one another. The player chooses a number between 1 and 1000, then the game generates a the events for all 9 innings. Runs, Walks, Outs and other pertinent stats are listed for each inning, then the score is displayed in the final result. Originally created for the PDP-10 Mainframe computer, this game was programmed in basic. Thanks to the efforts of an individual known as Benedict, who modified the source code, this game can be run on emulators like DOSBox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
