X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse is set not long after the first game and features its own story based loosely on the comic books. The super villain known as Apocalypse has abducted Professor X and Polaris for unknown reasons. At the same time, Apocalypse\u2019s minions have started to cause mayhem all over the world. The X-Men and Brotherhood team up to fight Apocalypse, giving players access to a wide array of characters. Famous characters from the comic book series like Wolverine, Magneto, Storm, Gambit, Juggernaut, Toad, and even secret heroes that include Deadpool are all playable in X-Men Legends II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every hero (or villain) has his her her own special mutant powers that range from Cyclops\u2019 eye beams to Wolverine\u2019s adamantium claws. New powers can be unlocked and existing powers can be enhanced as players defeat enemies and gain experience. Players can also find or purchase equipment that further boosts their character\u2019s abilities. This game supports both local and online Co-Op, but the online aspect of it is no longer functional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
