Description<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Animal Crossing is a SIM game where players control a boy or girl who has set out on their own and settled in a village populated with anthropomorphic animals. Players are given a house and mortgage to pay off by Tom Nook, the local shopkeeper\/landlord. Much of the start of the game revolves around doing odd jobs for Tom, but players are soon released from his service and left to their own devices. Almost all of the village can be interacted with and altered to some degree by players who can plant trees, harvest seashells, arrange decor, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house the player is given is small at first, but can be expanded once the mortgage is paid off. Various pieces of furniture that range from chalkboards to Nintendo memorabilia can be bought at Tom Nook\u2019s shop or earned by doing quests for the residents of the village. Talking to and helping the animals that live in the village will improve the player\u2019s relationship with them, unlocking new opportunities. The village will also grow and evolve as the player completes quests and develops friendships with the villagers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Animal Crossing featured an online mode where players could trade items, visit each other’s villages, and more, but this feature is no longer available. Classic NES titles like Donkey Kong and Excitebike were also hidden in the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
