Description<\/a><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Years after the war with the Bydo Empire, an R-Type Fighter is dispatched to investigate the ruins of a space colony rumored to be home to an unknown hostile force. Before long, the R-Type\u2019s pilot enters a dangerous realm infested with mankind’s greatest foe. In R-Type Final, players must complete a series of horizontal shmup levels as they research the Bydo\u2019s return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R-Type Final features over 100 unlockable ships that can be obtained through a variety of means. The game also has alternate paths players can take through its stages. Taking a specific path will unlock new ships, bonus stages, and even alter the game\u2019s ending. Classic R-Type mechanics like the Bit System and dozens of weapon upgrades are included in R-Type Final. Ships from earlier titles also make an appearance along with many new ones. Players can even customize their R-Type fighter\u2019s colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
