Golvellius: Valley of Doom is an action adventure game where players must collect seven crystals in order to save a beleaguered kingdom from an evil demon. Exploration is a major aspect of this title. Players will have to search the overworld carefully for dungeon entrances and friendly NPCs. Each of the major dungeons holds a crystal that is needed to complete the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dungeons are often hidden and can be side scrolling or top down view areas. Each dungeon is home to a variety of monsters as well as a boss. Top down dungeons often scroll automatically, while players are given more freedom of movement in side scrolling areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Defeating enemies and collecting gold is also a major element of Golvellius, because nearly everything the player needs must be purchased from an NPC. Players can buy new swords, shields that reflect projectiles, boots that can hover over water, and defense boosting pendants to name a few of the items that are available. Players can also buy or find orbs that increase the hero’s life meter and items that increase his gold limit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
