River City Ransom is a beat \u2018em up for the NES that was developed by Million. Players control Alex and Ryan as they set out to defeat Slick, who has taken over River City High School. Slick has also kidnapped Cyndi, Ryan\u2019s girlfriend. Ryan and Alex will have to brawl their way through River City and the surrounding area if they want to save the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to its familiar beat \u2018em up mechanics, River City Ransom features some light RPG elements. Players can collect money from fallen enemies to buy new skills and stat boosts. Alex and Ryan can also use weapons found on the ground or taken from bad guys. These weapons range from simple rocks to chains. A password system allows players to save their progress through the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
