King K. Rool and his army of Kremlings have stolen Donkey Kong\u2019s stock pile of bananas. Players control Donkey and Diddy Kong in Donkey Kong Country<\/em> as they race through Kong Island in search of the stolen bananas. The island is split into forty stages that are set in the jungle, old mine shafts, underwater, and industrial sites to name a few of the locations that appear in this title. Both Kongs can climb ropes, launch themselves from barrels, jump, and perform rolling attacks. Enemies can be defeated in a number of ways, though jumping on a bad guy or throwing a barrel at it are the most common methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every level features plenty of deadly pits, foes, and even traps for players to avoid. There are also items to collect that include bananas, gold letters that spell out \u201cKONG\u201d for a 1-Up, extra life balloons, and gold figurines that unlock bonus stages where players can earn even more 1-Ups. Players will also encounter friendly animals that assist the Kongs by allowing them to ride on their backs. Each animal has its own abilities; for example Enguarde the Swordfish is an excellent swimmer that can poke enemies with his sharp nose. Donkey Kong Country <\/em>let\u2019s players save their game at set intervals so they can continue later on. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
