The Rules

I do not want to bog this forum down with a lot of rules, so I'll keep this simple. The purpose of these rules is to protect this site and its users; please observe them.

1. Don't spam or post links to viruses. Please note that AI and bot generated posts will be treated as spam. This forum is for humans, not machines.

2. Don't post stuff that is prohibited by United States law.

3. Follow the golden rule "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".

4. Post in English if possible.*

5. This is a gaming site, so please try to keep conversations limited to video games.*

6. Check with an admin or moderator before soliciting/promoting a product.

*Subforums for other languages and non-gaming topics can be set up if there's enough demand.

A more detailed version of the rules can be found on our Terms of Service page.

Enforcement

For the most part, moderators will deal with rule breakers on a case by case basis. Occasionally using profanity or sharing a link to your most recent Twitch Stream isn't going to get you banned from this site as we generally practice leniency. Repeated offensive and/or flouting the rules will get you in trouble. We take context, relevance, and the user’s history into account when making decisions. In many cases, violators will merely be issued a warning. More severe breaches will result in temporary bans. Retromaggedon.com reserves the right to ban and delete accounts permanently and without notice if the need to do so arises.

If you've been banned you can appeal by emailing me at:

With all that serious stuff out of the way, I want to add that after running a completely open and anonymous comments section since 2018, I have only ever had a problem with spam and I appreciate the fact that people have proven themselves trustworthy.

Any questions, feedback, and suggestions regarding the rules are welcome. If something needs to be changed, I will consider doing so, but I want this forum to remain as free and open as possible.

I feel asleep.
